Maintenance & Operation

After the initial start-up phase, the Abydoz Engineered Wetland system is selfregulating, requiring only scheduled inspections, cleaning and small adjustments. The movement of accumulated sludge in the clarifier or settling tank is the main maintenance activity and can be dealt with using standard solid pumps. The maintenance can increase with the size and complexity of the contaminants to be treated however 3-4 man days per month is generally all that is required.

The system requires regular monitoring but does not require highly specialized staff to operate. Abydoz can provide a full service contract for any system or operator training programs can be provided to the client such that the system can be run by existing staff.
